Selling these for my mom. She has had them for many years, but is moving into a smaller place and just can't take them.
The first is a Colonial Minuteman Gas sign. This sign is in decent-good condition, shows some age. Could use a good cleaning. The info at the bottom reads: S | P 1959. This is a huge sign at 96" x 54". Mom got this sign from an old man that had picked it up after the Colonial gas station in Sanderson, FL was acquired by one of the bigger/newer companies. Here is a link that talks about Colonial and signage:
http://www.gassigns.org/colonial.htmThe other porcelain sign is from Velda, which is now Velda Farms. This sign is in very good condition. They are a dairy farm and at the time were advertising milk and ice cream. Size on this one is 54" x 35". It has a neat rounded detail, like being sliced off the slide of a globe, rather than having a flat profile. At the bottom, is printed: A-M Sign Co., Lynchburg, Va. 11-61.
Asking $400 for the Colonial and $250 for the Velda. Must arrange local pickup, as I have no idea how to ship items this large.
