It's xmas eve and I've been busy out side the workshop. No elves here to help. But ready to let everyone know my pump is done, and just waiting for the kids to show up and hopefully like my project. I want to thank everyone who has given advice and help. Thanks for the vendors for offering parts needed. So now have decided to maybe do another next spring. Wife wants something from late 1960's to eary 1970's the time I started to drive. any feedback appreciated. want something thats easy to find and reasonable. Merry christmas and happy New Year to all. http://s122.photobucket.com/albums/o275/workman1953/

Great job, pump looks very nice. Can't wait to see your next project. Please don't take this as a rude remark but I'd turn the pump facing the front like uit would have been on a pump island.
Merry Christmas
Ray

I was waiting until Spring before I asked everyone if they had one of these for sale, but I'll post it now. Of all the pumps in my book from the 60's I like this one the best.
Actually from 58-61.

Absolutely Beautiful!!!

I will admit at first I thought the same as hotcidr, having the pump face outward. The more I look at the way you have it, the more I like it. It is awesome to see both sides. You have done an amazing job. I have my pump facing away from my shop because it only has one good side. You have two outstanding sides and should display them proudly. It compliments your shop well. Merry Christmas,
Mike

Nice job, Mike. Looks like the pump is facing out to the road.

About your next pump...
Used to be years ago, collectors weren't very interested in the boxy 1960s gas pumps. Now the 60s blender pumps are a hot item, especially with muscle car guys. The others can't be far behind. I've got some sweet memories of pumping Sunoco 260 out of a Wayne blender into my old race car back in the day.

Nice job on the 39! Glad you finished it in time for Christmas. I wanted to get my Wayne 80 finished by Christmas, but it some things came up and it didn't happen.

Anyway great looking pump, enjoy it and I hope your kids like it.

I'm with Jim, the Sunoco blending pump would be a good investment plus it has that cool computer. Rich B

Have to admit I dont think Ive ever seen one of the Tokheim Vanguard pumps but would love to have one. Was talking to a man who owns 3 small gas stations he has some pumps in a shed he will sell cheap. Am gonna go look and see what he has and get back to everyone as to what models and prices to sell
