I found a Mobilgas Globe in my basment and was wondering if anyone had ever seen one like this. Here are some pictures.

It is 21" tall - 7" base - 6" wide metal or 8" wide w/globe - 16.5" opening for the globe

The globe is only on one side and there is wood on the other side.

Any information would be appreciated.

Hi Steve welcome to the best petro site .A lot of collectors hang out here looking for help with projects and always more than willing to share there knowledge.
The Mobilgas globe you found was used from 1934-1962 some have red letters and others black,the black letters might mean its from the the west coast.The value for a complete globe (2 lenses) in good average condition is $500-$650,yours has a 7" base makeing it a little more valuable.The water staining on the bottow of the edge might clean-up some and the base has 2 holes drilled for mounting.VALUE $280+ -. Any more estimates?
