On top of the G&B T88 where the globe tower/mount is bolted to the "body" - are the bolts threaded into the cast iron or are there nuts hidden from below?
Just need to get a hint of what type of and how much violence I will use when taking them apart;-) thanks, Claes

Claes, My British T8 is nut and bolted, they are slotted countersunk set screws. I doubt if you will get these out, the castings are fragile so don't go mad with your hammer! I had to drill out the bolts which takes some time. Thanks, Gary

Claes, on my original T88 the bolt heads are on the tower & bolts go down through the pump with nuts on bottom. Hope this helps. Sam

If you can get to the nuts heat them up with a torch red hot let them cool a bit and they should come right off. The heat will not hurt the castiron unless you keep it on to long. The heat breaks lose the rust. Mitch

Thank You Guys! It seems I have the British version (mine is from Denmark) and I recognize the slotted countersunk screws. I have had them soaked with WD40 for a couple of months and tried to work on them with an impact hammer - absolutely nothing has happened. I will see if I can get to any bolts and use heat. br Claes

I would imagine that mine was made in GB, but... very odd - no nuts, just slotted bolts on mine. When I look up the bolt holes, the bolts don't come all the way through the holes. Treaded, or someone has already tried to remove them and managed to break the bolts. br Claes

I've seen some that were threaded into casting.

They are probably the worst... Will see what the heat does to it - thanks again! Claes
