You get an email telling you that your bid on item # whatever has been cancelled- which does happen- when you click on the link it asks for your ebay name and password which it shouldnot ask for- If you get one just search the # And you will find its not an item you were bidding on- mine was a piece of Michigan lakefront property

I just got my ebay notice of cancelation also. I may have even fallen for it if not reading this post yesterday. I was aparrently bidding against you on that nice lakefront property. item # 4373790211 I thought for a second, im only bidding on one item and it is nothing worth worring about so why close it? This post came to mind so i checked the listing and got lucky. These guys are good!!.........Les

I've received the same email before too.

There's another one that was sent stating the it was from eBay and they were conducting a security audit or evaluation of your account. It looks very authentic but asks for your information in the email.

I always forward these fraudlent emails to: spoof@ebay.com. (This is eBay's official address to report fraudlent email.) Gives me a little satisfaction before deleting it!

Isn't the real estate market in Michigan pretty hot right now??
