I am going to hang this sign on the wall of my garage. Any suggestions on the best way to light it up? I would say it is about 5 feet by 6 feet. Thanks!

How "deep" or "thick is it so we know what kind of light you can fit behind it without building it out? Might be hard to get something to fit without building it out. John

Home Depot and Lowes carry a thin florescent fixture that can be plugged together to make a varying length light. I've used them on a variety if plastic signs for clients. They work fine. In your case, mount it onto the wall and leave the plug exposed. Screw the sign to the wall over the light. Done! Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Since i'm not seeing a fixture box or Can as some call it behind the sign and you're just hanging it flush(?) against the wall....I'd mount a 2-light low voltage (or 120V) track light on the ceiling or wherever you can in relation to the position of the sign. use the small MR16 bulbs in "FLOOD" type or similar. Home depot and Lowe's have a great selection of this style lighting.
Kinda like what you would see at a museum. track lighting illuminating the piece on the wall.

My signs are not as big, but I've found that in a garage or home setting where a sign doesn't have to seen for a long distance a small florescent fixture works quite well.

Rope light, that way you can follow the contours and get into the flame part of the sign, plus they are thin

Back lit as original will look much better, like Bob has done above or similar.

Tom, I have used a couple different fixtures behind the Mobil pegasus before I got the amount of light I was looking for. I took these photos this morning, the sun is coming in the window of the man door and the 2 windows I have in the garage. But this fixture still puts out enough light so one knows the sign is lit during the day. I got the fixture at Lowes and it is an under-counter fixture using Xenon lamps. The lamps don't generate near the heat as the Halogen puck lights I use in front of my cans.

LOL, the puck lights do throw out a lot of lumens.
I don't have to worry about my cans getting too cold during the winter, either.
Another added benefit is; during the rainy season all I need to do is walk out to the garage and stand close to my Veedol collection. The pucks ensure I get all the vitamin D and K, I need... (like having 3 mini-suns in the garage)...LOL
