we dont have pontiac in Malaysia. so strange how this sign ended up here and the words is not local.

i have seen fake coke and local soda signs but not petrol stuffs. Most of the petrol fake stuffs comes from Thailand which i have seen a lot of them in bangkok.

cheers

I thought it sounded Dutch, and when I google it many replies come from the Netherlands. First two replies talk of a Vereen Bliekfabrik in Amsterdam. I would assume that Vereen is a name, no idea of bliek, but fabrik is factory...
Any Dutch connections in your part of the world, maybe since the colonial times?

Regardless of where the sign is from, I dont believe it has any thing to do with PONTIAC the automobile...
