okay, let's try this one. i'm restoring some antique road signs, like US 66, you know, the ones with the glass (not plastic) reflectors all around. seems these marble- like critters have been out of production longer than 37 fords. anyway, anyone know where they came from, who made them, and most importantly, who can make or provide them. 3 sizes. cheers, gary

Gary, are you talking about the semi-circle clear ones with a (for lack of a better word) "cylinder" on the back? If these are the type you're talking about, I need 1 for a speed limit sign.

41again:

Someone had a whole box of the 1" size of these things a few years ago at the Dayton show. They are dome toped and feature a brass base with threads to screw into the sign. when you hold them up to the light it looks like they're electrified! I bought two just for s*^t's and giggles. I have a ball asking young people if they can tell me what they are.

Good luck on finding some to complete your sign.

Later . . .

Jim

T-Way,

I might be young, but I'm no dummy. Cat's Eyes (or cat eyes). Yeah, that's right! I knew that when I was 15! Now I'm 24. Wow, have I been in this that long?

I saw that same box (actually a bucket) just full of them at the last Iowa Gas. Some still chained in their holding brackets.

Hi Gary, try ebay member marbles_signs
He bought about 15 of these reflectors a while back and should have others.
Good Luck
Don
