Hello,I'm in the process of restoring a Wayne 615 that was in excellent shape and I'm now going through the sticks, The numbers are I think stamped aluminum not cast. Was the 'top' of the numbers painted? I'm assuming not being they were in gas most of the time. I look at the repops and they are not. My friend just redid a 515 and he painted the numbers black. Looks great but I'm wondering if I should? I'm going to repaint mine 'Sunray' colors.

Thank you! My first post here. Oh and I have redone a Tokeim 39 short in Sinclair.
Great site!

From the "factory" they would have been just plain aluminum on the Wayne 615.
