Hello all.

Here is my latest project.

I tore part of an old Dairy Barn down last month. I had planned on waiting until I had enough old barn wood to completely cover one of the 60' walls in my pole barn before I started putting anything up - but two of my friends wanted to store their cars here for the winter . . . so I had to get started on it now.

Here is the back corner where the Electrical Panel is located. I figured I'd start there and work my way to the front.

And here is the finished corner with the access door open.

And closed.

I still need about 40' more barnwood. But a have another barn to tear down either later this fall or next spring.

Later . . .

Jim

That is sweet! I'm guessing you have a pile of signs to decorate those walls?

Yeah, the sliding door, track and all the parts are old and were installed in the Dairy Barn to keep the cows where they were supposed to be and not roaming around the rest of the barn. LOL

As for the ceiling - at some point I will paint it flat black along with all the rafters. I painted a portion of it when I built my gas station facade and I like the look. (It makes it all 'dissappear'.)

Although, I will say, I'm not looking forward to painting it. After all, the building is 40' by 60' - and that's a lot of climbing up and down scaffolding.

Later . . .

Jim

Jim,
That sounds like a Paint Party for cheap car storage. Clean out the floor area, 4-6 man lifts & 4-6 spray outfits. Last crew to finish Buys the Beer.

Claes:

I've got a project to complete for the facade - then I'll take some photos and post them for everybody to see.

Hopefully, I can get to that particular project shortly.

Later . . .

Jim

Facade-the front of a building, espeecially a front meant to be grander or more attractive than the sides or back. Yes I had to go to dictionary, thought that was what you was talking about. Would love to see it as I've been planing one, now if only time and money will allow.
Jim the walls look great lot of people use this for mancave ,dens etc here.
