See no one has helped you out. Give you one method that works.Alum. foil tops and bottom keep it flat or it will scratch. Macquires wax cleaner work this but don't allow it to dry. Then wax and allow to dry, then buff with soft rag. extremne stains I have used gas but it will soften painted cans signage. You will need to wash and give it a day for paint to hard back up before waxing.Gas thing must be done quickly ,or you will remove paint or fade paint.
Hope this helps you out. LOL

WD-40, oil out of can, K-Mart hand cleaner W/O PUMAS. I have even used Paint Stripper applied to a rag [NEVER APPLY DIRECTLY on can], then slowly wiped off spray paint.
ALWAYS start on worst side & slowly work to better/best side.

I always drain, and recyle old oil,
Wash out inside w/warm soapy water & air dry.
I use a diluted spray bottle of simple green for a light cleaning. Wd-40 for tougher stains.
Last step I put on a light coat of wax, buff and then add to collection.
