I recently purchased a Wayne 60 pump. On the metal tag it says 60-A The panels on the sides are FLAT instead of the raised panels at the bottom. I can't even find a picture of it. Has anyone heard of it? Is it a rare model they made? Any help would be appreciated! Thanks

Narrow body Wayne 60 for small island use. Get youself a copy of "The Illustrated Guide to Gas Pumps" by Jack Sim. He probably has literature on this pump for sale also.

The picture is a wide body pump with no hips. In fact in Jacks book the drawing is of a wide body pump with no hips, even though it says 'narrow body'. Could it be that the 60A is just a wide body with a square base and no hips?

In the Gas Pump heaven book it says to measure from the edge of the ad glass to the outside edge of the frame & if it is 3" it is a narrow body. If it is 4 1/2" it is a wide body. This one measures 4 1/2".. So we are assuming that it is the wide body. Thanks for your input.

Picture above is a Wide Body [frame rails & arches are approx 1 1/2" on front], W/O HIPS. W/O HIP models were made in NARROW & WIDE Frame Models. W/O hip models are NOT as sought after as the ones w/ hips, but will still be a NICE Pump after restoring. & IT HAS THE FANCY GLOBE MOUNT, that's a Plus.

The 60 with out hips is a lot more rare, but as Dick said less desireable. I had an 866 with no hips. I ended up selling it because I wanted a 60 with hips.
