Does that count?

I would say that counts laugh I wish I could see one in person. Do you know if they were metal or fiberglass?

There was a post here on Old Gas about those. Don't remember how far back 2 - 3 years ago maybe.

Jeff Peterson had one in Seattle and I quite a few year ago I got the opportunity to take a real close look at it. The horses were the same as the normal dime store ride on horses, I was comparing the differences between his from the "Big Bronco" that I have and the only difference was the wings. I will look through my pictures and see if I can dig up any of the pictures I took of his that day.

Now that you mention the comparison to the dime store ones they do look exactly alike. Maybe that's why there were so few made because of the work that had to be done to add the wings.

I have seen 3 of these just in the St Louis area. Wally E had a restored one in his collection, awsome. Another individual I met had an unrestored one that Im sure is in the same condition and there is another one at a bar called ethyls out in st charles MO area displayed along with other gas stuff, awsome place to visit. Wally priced his to me and it was not cheap, I still think they are very rare indeed.

I had the good fortune to see the one that was in Jeff Peterson's collection in Seattle. It was most impressive. Being a die-hard Texaco guy...it still impressed me as one of the all time greatest oil and gas collectibles I have ever seen. Even better than the 42 inch Grizzly sign I owned.
