Hey guys; was out picking and got an old Bennett oil crank from a farmer; it has the brass tag which says its a model #307. The handle still turns nice, but it will need new paint. My questions are; did I do ok for $5? How old would it be? Can I get a reproduction square tank for it? Thanks!

You paid way to much. It's old. No you can't get a reproduction tank for it.

Seriously, you did fine for $5. I don't know the year it was made, but Bennett made many similar pumps for decades. Most likely yours is from 1925 to 1955.
Look around and you may find an old tank at a scrapyard or swap meet for not much $.

It is not for sale, but I do want to restore it; was hoping to be able to find a cheap repop tank to paint up!

In my area unrestored lubsters sell for $75.00-$125.00. They are plentiful and are always available at swap meets & car shows. I am sure you will find a parts lubster pretty easy.
$5.00 was a good price for the pump.
