I saw this article in the paper yesterday.
A 1927 gas station with a unique pagoda-
shaped roof is now listed on the state
register of historic places.The small
Wadhams-Seneca station with red tiled roof
was built for the Milwaukee based Wadhams
Oil and Grease Co.A West Allis man ran the
station for forty years and sold it to the
in 1978.The station was boarded up for a
year before it renovated by the city with
community development block funds.The
station is now used as a mini-museum of
service station memorabilia.(West Allis
Wi.)

Jerry , can you post a picture of it? its great when the city takes care of the resto, hard enough doing a pump , but coming up with capital to do a complete station is something else.

I live about 20 minutes from that station, and work only about 5 minutes from it.I offered help when they restored it but they never contacted me,which was ok they left it where it was ,they were going to move it to the historical society, till they found out how costly it would be to mve it.I know where there is at least three more of those stations around this area,I love those things! Whis I had one in my yard.
