I don't know how it came to be in the business' posession, but I found it upstairs in the dusty storage room. I would guess its a Wayne 70. I don't know how big Signal was, I'm still in college, and do not remember ever seeing a Signal station here in SoCal. pretty cool, huh?

Signal was on the west coast. I think they disappeared in the mid 1960's. I know we had a few Signal stations here in Olympia, Washington in the 1940's and 1950's.

Welcome aboard. Very nice pump. I've been up in my storage room and see nothing like that. Can I come over and help clean out that dusty storage room for you? Mike

Yes, and hopefully the guts stay inside so it stays a pump!
Antique? It's new to me.

Wow--awesome pump! It looks straight, too. You lucked out for sure!! I'm sure you've heard of Signal Hill (near Long Beach)...? Hence, the name Signal. Makes me think that I might do one of my 70's in a Signal motiff. Thanks for posting. Dave Folck

During my growing up years the Signal Gas station that was on the corner of SW Terwilliger Blvd and Taylor's Ferry Road in Portland, OR was owned by the father of a boyhood friend of mine.
The father often took time off and left the station to the two of us from the time we were in the eigth grade or so. All up through our high school years I sorta worked at that station. When we acquired cars it was great to have the rack available.
I remember well lots of cars coming in and asking for a buck's worth of regular.
I restored my first pump (A Tokheim 39) in Signal colors.
