Has anybody seen the Oil can Display Item number: 7148235804 on Ebay. There is a bid for $1,995.00. I have got one I'm getting ready to put on Ebay that is close to being as nice as that one but mine has a stainless steal top. Whats these things really worth?

Ya know I'm probably out of line here, but having said that...????????????? I do not know oil can prices at all but have seen quite a few items very close to that one going for about 200 bucks. One bid by a zero feedback bidder!? Anyone else whats the opinion. Larry

I agree with Paul... I have one of those also and for that price I'll gift wrap it, pay for shipping, throw in a case of beer and laugh all the way to the bank.

I have two of these that I bought unrestored. I restored one to Texaco with a powder coat finish.
Here's the Math
Can Rack Unrestored $200.00 Dip Tanks Stripping 50.00 Blast and Powder Coat $250.00 Signs & Decals $100.00
Total Cost Fully Restored $600.00
Double my numbers and it still doesn't even begin to add up.
You could put original cans and signs on mine and still not spend that kind of money.

I can go down to the old Union 76 station (which is still open) tomorrow and buy their unrestored one for $100. I've talked to them before about it. Just no room for it at my place. But if I can get that kinda cash out it I'm there! :-) Later,Bill ------------------ 52 Ford F1 Pick up, 66 Nova wagon, and collector of motor oil cans. CoolCustomCD.com and MYCARS
