A guy I work with buys and sells antiques and about anything he can make a buck on. He told me today about a sign he bought from a man that ran a Marathon station that has been in the family for at least 2 generations that I know of. He said it was a 2 sided and shaped like an oil can about 24 to 30 inches tall on one side it has oil and the other says raceing oil. He said it has brackets to hang on a wall. He told me it is for Amelin oil. I have never heard of or can I find anything with that spelling. I did find AMALIE oil in the only sign book that I have. Anyone know anything about a sign like this? I would like to know what it would be worth and how old Thanks George

...probably Amalie, not too old...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...
