Early version, but due to condition I'd say $275-325, that's what I'd ask. That is 42" isn't it?

I would pay up to $500 for one in that condition. The Filling Station ones are harder to find.

Well, I'll venture what I know! I saw a nice one sell for $3500 a few years back and have been kicking myself ever since. I wish I had bought it. I've also heard about a primo one that brought 10 thou--rumor? Don't know?
I have seen several sell on ebay (if they really sold) and they were damaged --some more than yours and some less. They fell into that $1500 to $2000 price range.
I have not personally been involved in the sale of one of these nice Texaco signs, so I can't give first person info but you have a fairly rare sign (albeit a damaged one) and it will have significant value to someone thats looking for one.

Well reading Kevin's post I'll put it up to the $750.00- $1000.00 range, just my opinion. They are hard to come by, but there's still a lot of them around. All single sided made around 1917. I believe there was 4 different styles (fonts) of this sign. For the life of me I can't say which one would be harder to find.

IMO, 650 is what I would pay. It is a rare sign but I think it would still be a barn hanger. I love the early filling station signs!

IMO, in my opinion...

If you don't know what something stands for; asking is smart, in my book.... Not asking and acting like one knows when they don't ..... is stupid to me... But, I'm a pain in the *****, a lot.... So maybe it is just me.....

Here's another version of the lettering, wish it were cleaner but it's the only one I have ever had the chance to buy.
