Oh it was a crown gas pump had the white globe on it from the time it was put there until 5 years ago when it was stolen. The idiotes broke the globe at the base couldnt get the set screw to back out. From what im told.

Pumps rough. Missing inspection cover, light manifold and the Tokheim badge on the bezel from what i can see. Id imagine the skins are rough at the bottom. Need more pictures for value. If the top has no cracks or warping thats 500. Start there?

If that was my property and after I politely told you it was not for sale. You posted pictures of my yard and pump on a public forum...I'd be justifiably angry.

The faces are not original. I agree with Kyle, really need to know the condition of the lower doors and side panels to make a fair estimate. I can't see if there is a hose outlet cover either. I also see the one door is bent outward. i am no sheetmetal expert, but I find these doors a huge pain to try to straighten back into usable condition. Brady

Dave you are relentlessly negative. Your insite has abosolutly nothing to do with the value. If i hadnt posted a picture People would have said we need a picture.

Negative? I consider it very being very considerate of others wishes.

How can you tell the faces are not original ? They didn't come with porcelain ?

Thanks Doug

This is a petroliana value forum. This in no way is a finishing school. Where someones actions need to be coached up to your level.

Doug, I'm fairly sure that Tokheim introduced porcelain veedor root faces on the 875/876 and 39 models. Early 39's had aluminum faces, don't know if you could get porcelain when it was first introduced or not. The 36 and 36B's used aluminum faces married up to the aluminum stairstep trim. Brady

The faces on a 36B, actually mount into a face plate tray that bolts to the frame of the pump. The original faces would never extend down into the inspection hole area. This is another case where someone used what they had, and installed Tok39 faces into the pump.
The sheetmetal is fairly rough and certainly can be a bearcat when trying to make them fit right! Two inportant spots to check are the corners on the top, as they were prone to cracking from any stress, and the corners of the face bezels were also prone to cracking.
A replacement top will cost $400 or better and the bezels will run at least $100 each. If you have to buy face pans, it may take a couple years and around $100 each for them.
Good condition 36B's will part out at about $1100 and can usually be bought at that figure. This pump with all its issues, should be worth about $600 if the top and bezels are good.

You've posted pictures of an item that is not for sale. The owner has no intentions of selling it or if they do, after meeting with you they have decided not to you.

Greater chance of you never owning this pump then of you owning it. Then, why post this here? When there was absolutely no need to do it, 36B's are common pumps and there are a lot of threads on this site discussing their value. A check of the for sale forum would have revealed what they sell for and what the parts sell for.

What's sad is the fact that you think it's okay for you to trespass and violate others rights to the enjoyment of their property simply because you are a picker.

It's because of actions such as yours that "cold approaches" or free style picking is getting more difficult. Next time, try developing trust and rapport and your chances of buying the pump would be greater.

It's not about being negative...there is not one person on this site that would condone someone coming into their yard and taking pictures of their property and then posting them on the internet in a public forum and that includes you. After being told the item was not for sale.

and by the way...you should google spell check.
