I bought this sign from an old dairy farmer he made 8 of these tables in 1965. He only has 2 left going to get the other one on sunday. Just hosed of 40 years of tree crud. The legs are welded only to the ring. Also this is my first "pick" of 2013 and i got it right.

Buy a gallon of WD-40.
Pour it on enough to coat & soak wet.
Let it soak awhile,then rub/wipe off w/an old t-shirt.
Might need to let it sit on there overnight..

Tree sap can dull that porcelain finish over time. You might have a job getting it off?

You could also use Bar Keepers friend on it to help clean off any stains. I use that & a green scotch bright pad to clean my signs.

If it is etched bad be careful because if it is chalky the finish can wash away.

I have used the Barkeepers friend on old porcelain sinks and it helps remove the stains and rust. Another one is Soft Scrub cleanser, but that doesn't work as well on rust, it is milder. Those Amoco signs should look good when they are cleaned up.
