Do all 77s use the heavy cast frame around the window? I gotta line on one, but both doors don't have the frames. They have some sort of flange on the inside. There also seems to be no holes around the window for a frame.

Heya Mike,
Here is a pic of the one I have. Many coats of paint around it.

I think the frame clamps down onto the flanged out part by metal and bolts, but I will check for sure when I go out to the shoppe tommorow morning. I will also take a pic of the inside of the door if you need it.
Mine is a 1947 77A.
Hope this helps!

The one I'm looking at says "77" I would like to see the inside of the window, frame, and the how the hinge mounts to the door. I don't know too much about these.

Here are the pics that I took of the inside of the doors. I was wrong with what I said because it looks like there is a lip but there are screws that go thru holes that attach to the back of the frames.
Hope it helps.

Mike, there were two style doors used, one with a bezel and one without. The bezel model used a faceplate with the lip, the "no-bezel" used a flat face place with a plastic trim that went all the way around the face. It had plastic inserts in the cut outs for the price and gallons delivered, and ad glass with holes that the trim screws went thru and attached to the ad glass hole in the face. This model did not have a glass face. Brady

Thanks for the pictures and the info. I decided to buy the pump on Sunday, and it's currently at the sandblaster's. Mine is very different from the one in the picture. It has a flange around the inside of the window, with 4 stamped brackets bolted to it. I don't have a picture of it at the moment, but I gotta figure out the Ad glass and window mounting situation.

Does anybody have a picture of the " no-bezel" flat face plate setup with the plastic inserts like 1PetroFan (Brady) described above ??? I have a 77 tall Erie pump that I was going to use the faceplates with the lip, but it sounds like these faceplates won't work on a door that does not have the heavy cast window frame that is mounted on the front of the door.
Any information or pictures would be greatly appreciated.
THanks, Bill

Bill, I think I have a plastic edge plate on the back of my pump, but cannot remember for sure. i will check when I get home. Dave's picture clearly shows the screws that go thru the door to mount the cast frame. If your door does not have the screw holes in them, you need the flat face plates. Brady I think I might have one set of stainless ad glass holder trim. If you need it, I would be happy to send it to you. Brady
