I finally got to complete a project that I've been wanting to do for quite some time.I have several old engines that I want to use as displays and this one got the Pennzoil base.Pics before and after.

Very cool outside the box one of a kind art. I suspect we will see alot more of this in the future. I bet some of you are behind the shed looking at engines as we speak.

This is great. We had something just like it in my high school auto shop class. Brings back memories. Very well done and I love the colors.

First of all,thank you all for your great compliments.As mentioned by LOWright, some of these old engines are truly boat anchors and only carry a value of their weight but bringing them back to their full glory will hopefully make some see them as art.Just like a gas pump.Unfortunately this engine is locked up tight from sitting.I oiled the cylinders and hopefully time will do the rest.My current engine display started is a 1931 Cadillac V12. Then I might mix it up with some muscle car era engines.
