I am restoring a Wayne 615 visible pump and wanted to know what the proper paint scheme and coloring was? Does anyone know or do I just wing it with a red with white trim? Also, does anyone have a crown globe for sale?

According to the new PCM Gas Pump restoration book the Standard Cown pump was just solid red. But I would say do whatever turns your crank. If you think it looks better in two tone do it, I probably would.

I agree with Tim...paint it the way you want to whatever floats your boat. I have seen Standard visibles done in white with red trim and thought they looked GREAT. There is one in the old drug store in downtown Greenup, Ill. that is really pretty. Painting and re-painting pumps is not that big of a deal. The main thing is that we get them in out of the weather to save them for future collectors.
