Can someone identify this pump? I bought this pump today and the tag states it is a “Southwest Gulf”, built by Tokheim model ETA-1-876, in 09/78.. Well, I know this is false due to pumps gas price per gallon went to a dollar a gallon in 72.. I have looked in all of my books and I am unable to identify this pump.. I recall seeing this pump some place, but unable to identify the pump.. Help..

Until new faces/VR's were made/installed, gas was sold by the 1/2 Gal.

This thread is three years old, but for anyone else googling, the pump is a Southwest ETA style pump made for the Gulf Oil Company, thus it should have either a Gulf Oil tag on the side or a Southwest tag with GOC in the number. It was never made by Tokheim, I'm pretty sure that was an auction buzzword. Regarding the ability to price gas to $1 a gallon, I wouldn't read anything into the mechanical computer vs. the date on the side. The computers swap out with 3 bolts, and either the person restoring it could have changed it, or the person that sold it.

All the information I've compiled for Southwest Gulf ETA1 pumps:
