This pump came out of an old south Seattle gas station that was built in the 30's. I have been using it flawlessly for the past 20 years. Does anyone know it's approxamate age and value? I want to work this and my signs into a trade for a gas pump(s) Anyone in the Seattle area interested? It is an AREO pump with the volume meter in pints. All the trim is complete and pretty much dent free. it sits on a drum that is on casters.

I believe what you have is a AERO not a AREO. It was made in Definance, Ohio. I have very little on this company. They were in business in the late 20s, early 30s. I don't know how long they were in business, or if they are still in business. I believe there was a connection between them and the Modern Equipment Co., also of Definace, and the Service Station Equipment Co. who was the owners of the Bennett Pump Co. during the 30s and 40s. Unfortunately, not much. These aren't that collectible. I bought one for about 25 bucks. Definitely not like gas pumps, but more like lubesters. Just not a big collector following. Based on the decal this one is 1950's usage.
