Can't tell if the one you picture is discolored.

If in decent condition $200-$400 ballpark.

For Pam thermometers most CS's are pretty plain so don't get the $$$ like some with more flashy graphics. Unless you just have to have it keep looking if the price is much above $250 as they will show up at most gas show events. There are variations for anti-freeze, etc, so you have a few out there to collect.

It looks discolored and also looks like someone may have replaced the glass face and done a very lousy job with the aluminum glass retainer ring. These are form fitted over the glass and aren't meant to have the glass replaced. It can be done but is very difficult and it looks like this one may be ruined?? Can't tell without better pictures and the saran wrap removed.
I good shape, the thermometer is worth from $200 to $300 with some variations bringing slightly higher.
I would expect this one to bring $100 or less but again would have a better idea with better pictures.

i will try to get better photo tomorrow. yeah i see what you mean about the retainer ring all bent up. Thats why i love this site i wouldn't have noticed it if not mentioned. they also have a wire rack carrier for the old style oil bottles with about 6 sunoco bottles in it. should i post another ad for them? or can you help with value on them.

As Kevin says, the metal retaining ring looks like it has been bent out and then crimped back in a very wavy pattern. Really hurts the value. Don't pay a "decent" price for one that needs a new ring and would not display decent.

You'll need a photo of the Sunoco bottles. Wire carriers commonly bring from $50 to $100 depending on whether they are marked or not, and there are some big differences in bottles with reproduction/fantasy items always being a problem.

Kevin's right about the thermometer if it is damaged on the ring. They aren't easily fixable/replaceable components.

The rack the bottles are in is about the lowest level and can be bought for $35-60.

The spouts on the bottles look to be generic and have no caps. Look to see if they have Shell on them, if not, they don't add much value like more rare cap/spout combinations.

The bottles themselves, if Sunoco is painted/silkscreened on them that's good, if they are stickers then it's bad. If they are vintage generic oil bottles with applied labels rather than painted on these can be bought as cheap as $35ea. Sunoco general bottles(not marine or special grade indicators) like these look to be can sell $50-70 each and turn up as singles and pairs all the time on eBay. Buying them that way is a lot more expensive than buying a complete rack.

If the bottles are good, you can walk up on these at shows for $350 and as much as $550 from normal dealers. Generic bottle rack sets can be found $285-450 here in the south. This is discounting walking up on someone just cleaning out an old garage of course and selling them for under $100.

There are a lot of variations on old tin stations. Prices start at $50 and get over $1000 for the most elaborate unopened sets. The majority fall in the $100-300 range in good condition and having their accessories. Sets made in the early 30s by Marx are some of the most desirable if you look on eBay.
