has anyone ever heard of goosebill oil and gas company in fort benton montana i have a stock certificate but i cant find any infoonit anywhere

Living in Montana all my life, I have newve heard of them. Wonder if they were a drilling/exploration company? Is there a date on it??

1921 is the purchase date of the stock but the company seal says 1920

There were so many of these small companies that either had one a few wells and nothing else. I have seen many different companies stock certificates here in denver that were not downstream.

Alex is likely correct that it was an "upstream" exploration company. Cat Creek Field was discovered east of Lewistown in 1920 and was the first commercial oil field in Montana. There was a boom of small companies trying to follow up on that discovery. You might check with the Montana Historical Society in Helena and see if they have any records.
