In search of nice advertising thermometers to ad to my personal collection. Would purchase outright or would consider trades. Have much more than pics show for trade considerations. Not interested in common stuff. Any subject matter is OK. If you have a thermometer you are interested in selling or trading, please pm me or phone.

Thx Charles

Your right.....the lay or bust is a tuff one to ad to the collection. A little FYI for those interested. The beach co was in business from 1910-1940. 99% of beach thermos are marked with the famous "patent mar. 16 1915" marking. This lay or bust thermo is marked "patent applied for". I believe this makes it easy to date to between 1910-1915......but probably 1914. Not sure how long the patent process took in the early teens.

I believe the bulb bump outs on the beach thermos are earlier thermos. I believe these bump outs were transitioned out around 1920. They were replaced with flat thermos that had no bump out. Common mail pouch and NR thermos are flat for reference.

Try this seller on e-bay; if he does not have one listed he knows of other sources.
