Very well done and some interesting information about them represented. I was really hoping to see some visibles in the movie and I wasn't disappointed. There were actually quite a few in the movie. Dont ask me what they were but they were represented quite well it seemed and presented with a very authentic type look. It's always cool to see them in movies of that period.

Did that movie just come out? I guess I missed it. I recently met the guy that provided all the pumps for the movie. He leased a bunch of gas and oil stuff to the movie company, quite a deal.....GB

I need to try to watch this movie some time . Is the Joplin Missouri stand off with the highway patrol in the movie? Bonnie cut loose on them with a BAR (browning automatic rifle) and had them pinned down behind a tree outside a motel I believe and then made their escape. That was very heavy fire power for that time , 30-06 round but in a full auto .
I like SINCLAIR and old American made stuff ... No china items.

This is more interesting, to me anyways... If you read it, you will realize, like most things on TV, it was just loosely based on the truth. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bonnie_and_Clyde#Clyde_Barrow

Yes the BAR is quite prevelent in the movie. Like many, I've shot 30-06 a few times and it brings quite a kick. I can't imagine full auto!! Wow!!

Their preferred weapon was the BAR with a shortened barrel. If you are interested in what actually happened to them(and their brief time on the run)...read Ambush by Ted Hinton. His son operates the Ambush museum in Gibsland, La. Dave http://www.roadsideamerica.com/story/10864

I do not do anything with pumps, but it was impressive how this two night special really featured old gas stations, pumps and signs. Hopefully a few members of this site were featured!! I really liked the Red Crown pumps at the very end of part II. I think I saw my Mail Pouch thermometer too.

Gibsland isn't that far from here. I use to go to the Bonnie and Clyde Trade Days in Arcadia, Louisiana every month to look for petro items...but those items have dried up and whats there is junk and asking too much due to all the shows on the boob tube. http://www.bonnieandclydetradedays.com/
Paddy Wanted. Billups, Ride with Rose, Har-V, LORECO, STANOCOLA, Pan Am (early), Hurricane, Evangeline, Canal, Gulf Coast, oil companies.
