Hello All, In past years those of us that wanted to have shared items in our collections that the oil companies advertised with during Christmastime or gave out to customers for Christmas. Normally the thread is started much earlier than this, but thought I'd go ahead and start with some items from my Mobil collection as well as a few other companies. Please feel free to share any petro Christmas items you may have in your collection! Darin I think my most unique item is a box of a dozen 1950's Christmas ornaments with Pegasus on them....I'm not certain, but would guess it was a gift from Socony Vacuum to employees and station owners. General Petroleum 1936 Calendar..... General Petroleum 1937 Calendar..... Socony Vacuum Christmas cards from the late 1930s and early 40's, and on the bottom a oil change postcard sent from the Magnolia Petroleum Co. on Dec 23, 1935. 1958 Mobilheat Calendar.....

Here is a large Santa poster used by Mobil probably circa 1960. Included is a period photo showing one of these posters in use at a station. You can see it in the window behind the cab of the tow truck. I'm always looking for period photos of any of the signage I own in use, and I feel this is a pretty rare instance to actually find a seasonal photo like this... Darin

Marathon "The Ohio Oil" has had a number of Christmas items over the years. Many different ornaments. Two sets of christmas lights. amd more. The Dealer booklet listed a number of items a dealer could order as give-a-ways to customers.

I might have submitted these Imperial Oil items before but always nice to see at Christmas time. Candles from probably the 1920s or maybe into the 30s. Station photo from 1952, Dec. 23. Cheers, Don.

Michigan Oil & Gas a weekly publication always had a December issue devoted to Christmas greetings from various companies many who marketed as well as exploration. This is from a 1959 issue. Dave
