Does anyone know anything about this company, and how the sign would have been used. It looks like it possibly could have been an oil rack topper ( 10" x21"), but not sure..

It is a porcelain sign, manufactured by Vilas Enamel Products, Cowansville, Quebec.

Looks like it could be a drilling company or a service rig company, sign would be used on the side of the rig

Looking for Canadian Imperial and Canadian North Star.

I can't find anything at all on this company !
It drives me nuts... having a sign with no story.

Thanks guys for your comments and possible clue.
