Marky,
I have not seen that sign before, but I have seen some Great Heart Coal items. Could you please post a shot of the makers name at the bottom center? I have collected a few Alabama related Coal signs over the years. Very nice sign! Thanks for posting.
Tom

I think the value is about $250-$350.

Nice sign. Like Tom says-Who's it made by? What all does it say by the makers mark? Thats important.

Nice early sign, Nice condition. I'll bet the coal miners would love that one.
PS; Novelty sign has been in business a very long time and still is. Over the last few years Ive noticed a few embossed ,tin signs made in the original old style-with the black wood frame- Evinrude motors, Ford Farm equipment and Texaco Tourist Information come to mind. The Texaco was either NOS or just plain new, and that one was signed Novelty Ad Co. I am not 100% certain on this by any means, but I believe one of these companies that are based in or around Coshocton might be make some of these old looking signs using the old methods. Maybe even the old equipment. I may just be one of those conspiracy nuts but something seems fishy.

Almost looks like a wire hanger between the two holes.
