After a long stressful day, my wife & I just got home from the Columbia, MD mall. My wife was in the food court when the shooting was taking place and she has been in lockdown since 10:45 this morning. In her haste to get out of the mall, she left her car keys in the food court. We hopefully will be able to get them tomorrow and get her car home. She is still shocked as to what was going on.
PS Tomorrow is our 34th wedding anniversary. Certainly a day to remember!

Good grief...I haven't had the TV on all day. Glad she is OK. Makes tomorrow's anniversary that much more special for you two.

An update on the lost keys and recovery of my wife's car. Yesterday afternoon, the county police had a recovery center set up near the mall where the shooting occurred and we were able to retrieve her keys and remove the car from the parking lot where it had been parked since the shooting on Sat. morning. The recovery center was extremely organized and they had a grid setup down to the individual table and what was left on it. People who were recovering items left behind ranged from purses, coats to baby strollers. Their setup made it quick and uneventful for retrieving lost item. All of this was done within 24 hours of the shooting. We were really impressed with the Howard County Police Recovery Division.
Thank you for the well wishes.
