Last summer, I restored a Bennett 1066, I used the rubber from GPH, and I hated it. It was way too hard to get the glass in, and it didn't fit right.

Does anyone have any experience with Vic's reproduction of the Bennett rubber? Does the glass go in easier? Does it fit better?

Bennett 1066 and 766 utilize totally different window rubber. Not a good comparison. For the most part the rubber seals are bought from the same wholesalers and all the retailers sell the same stuff.

I restored a 1056 and had difficulty installing the window rubber. It worked in the end, but it was tedious to install. It needed to be worked and reworked into the door skin for a proper fit.

I used GPH rubbers on my bennett 956 and had no problems with it. Just took my time & didn't rush installing them
