While I was at Peotone, I was approached by a gentleman that wished to give this Fry pump unit to someone that might need it! He told me that he is on Old Gas every once in a while and thought he remembered someone needing one a while back! He introduced himself, but since it was right during the auction, my memory didn't hold onto his name. He just said he wanted someone who needed it, to have it and wanted nothing in return. I told him that I would take it and see if I could get it in the right hands.
SSssoooooooo-----If you have an early fry that needs this pump, you can have it for free. It must be someone that will actually use it though. I want the person that asks for it to be the end user and not someone that will pass it along if someone comes by. If you know of anyone that is looking for a pump unit like this, have them contact me and we'll make arrangements to get it to him! Thanks---KEVIN

Looks like its external pump off cast iron base 17 or 117 the flat spot on outside edge has me stumped. Compare it to yours Kevin.

I have one of these and I've been told that this unit was used in a G&B visible? Don't think it works on any Fry? Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Doesn't look like any Fry I've ever seen. No cast iron ears to attach. I'm stumped.

External fry has ears. You guys knew that! Was thinking bracket went to outer edge pump housing bolts.

I am in the process of restoring a 117. It was missing the pump mechanism when I purchased it. The pump really needs the mechanism for an accurate restoration (kind of top heavy without it too)
Always looking for more pumps, meters and signs. Some say it is a problem, I say it is a solution

Researching about my Fry 5 gallon pump, I stumbled upon your post. I am in need of a pump mechanism for this pump. I originally believed this pump to be an early baseless pump, possibly with an exterior pump system. I am adding a base to this pump, but would certainly like to add the pump itself. Yes, this pump would absolutely be installed in this five gallon 17. If it is still available drop me message or call me at home. Thank you very much. Ron home # 636-398-5352
