picked this up today, I've known about this car for 20 years. My friend bought it in 1957 and yanked out the Pontiac engine and it got stored away for 57 years. Interior is very dirty but will clean up, has a 37 Lasalle transmission. I'll have to find an adapter and then will figure out what engine to put in. Best deuce body I've ever seen, zero rust and doors close perfectly.

Well, there aren't enough words to express what you must have felt to be able to purchase a gem like that! Very few people will ever get the chance to purchase one in their lifetime, much less find one in that kind of condition. AMAZING!

very nice!! i would have to go with a 50's period hopped up flatty or a buick nailhead...

i've got a 52 chev 2dr hardtop that is similar, spent about 20 yrs on the road then mothballed for 40 yrs.

Thanks guys, very happy with it. It actually has a Packard tranny so I'm looking for an adapter. I have a nicely built flathead and a 56 Buick 322 with some speed parts but will consider all adapters. The K frame has been modified as well as the banjo driveline so I'm going to try and keep it as is, Packard tranny's had a tall first gear and were very strong. Here's a couple more pics, one after I put the headlights and bumper back on and a before/after cleaning pic of the interior.

That thing is awesome,I would leave it as is and just find a period correct engine for it. Pontiac mill would be cool.
Nice find!!!!
