I just bought this Tokheim 300 pump and wanted to know what is this post for? Maybe a sign box? Any ideas? Thanks

There was a special clamp that went with the post, all of the 300s I owned had them.

Where these on 39's as well because I have a similar hole on the side of my 39L-RP


Oilzum, 1qt Oil Cans, Gas and Oil smalls, Oldsmobile collectables.

Yes, it was optional. All pumps had the hole and on Most 39's it was plugged with a two piece removable plug.
