I just came across one of these pumps - RED porclean and stainless - no signs. Great / NEW condition. Had the signes but now they are gone - still has the texaco layout of 2 close, 2 wide, 2 close holes about 18 apart.

I was woundering if these were only firechief pumps - or did they use the same color for skychief?

ALSO - has anyone ever seen a globe on one of these?

Travis,

I'd assume that the Sky Chief pump would have been silver. Not sure if that changed on these "later" pumps though. I'd go for an NOS one - def. worth getting.

I've never seen one with a globe.

What kind of pumps were the snakey ones? Been waiting to see them in BOTW.

Travis,
They were known as Erie or AO Smith, salesman 48 or model 483 pumps. They came in silver/gray porcelain for Sky Chief, I know cause I have a set of doors for one. I found a Fire Chief one in the woods and the gray doors. Now I just need to find one in good shape minus the doors. Anybody got one for sale going to Dixie Gas in the spring?

Oh and they did not come with globes or provisions for them from the factory. I have seen some restored with globes on ebay, and well they look like teets on a boar hog if you ask me. I prefer them original.
