Okay I give up !

I bought RG101 from Webers for my Wayne 70... I'm trying to do the ad glasses right now. I honestly don't see how this is ever going to fit inside the bezels. I can tell right from the start that the new rubber is a lot deeper by a heavy 1/8". Where if I ever get them together the rubber will really be climbing up the glass and will be more than visible. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Especially going around the corners of the glass.

Thanks Doug

After you install the glass and bezzel in the door get a new razor blade and run around the inside edge of the bezzel...this will trim the 101 to the size of the bezzel..I have seen 2 different size 101 rubber ..1 is large like yours and 1 is just right..I have had to trim alot with this oversize 101 that is out now..

Hope this helps

Mark

Can't even get the glass/rubber inside the bezel, I've tried stretching the rubber all the way around, it ain't going to happen ? I have all original ad glass and bezels... I'm trying to put 10 lbs of $h** in a 5 lb bag. Staring to see why reproduction glass is smaller ?

Thanks Doug

Hey Doug, Try using some lubricant like maybe a drop or two of dish soap. Also I see that Gas Pump Heaven has 3 sizes of R101 listed in their book. Kent.

Just noticed they have the U rubber listed as R100A R100B and R101. All U shaped. I did a 70 and she's a tight one. You may want to buy a couple feet of each to figure out which one works best and then go with that one. Kent.

I just went through the same problem. So I carefully cut 4 separate pieces mitered at corners & it made a world of difference of fitting. When finished you couldn't tell that I cheated looking at it from the outside.
