...they're not doing the consignor any favors with the tiny photographs, either...

Looking for better Gulf items: signs, globes, cans and paper - especially porcelain Gulf flanges, and Gulf A-38 & A-62 ad glass...

From past experience, these low profile auctions are the best to attend. If you read the entire bill, this estate is being sold over multiple dates. I'm betting there is a lot more than what's shown in the pics - the auctioneer doesn't appear to be very internet or camera savvy. Up here, if someone had a volume of quality items to sell you can bet on it that the auction would be open to online bidding, have detailed pictures, be heavily advertised, etc.

However as a buyer, it is usually to our advantage when the information is scarce. Good luck to anyone going!

This auction is ten minutes from my house...The auctioneer busted a all glass Keystone gas globe the other day into a million pieces.. Theres a bunch of signs and other stuff not shown in pics .. My dad saw a lot of it ...I haven't been up there yet to do recon...I will post whats there asap. From the brochure it seems bigger than the Bosely or Charlie Stewart Auction that was here a year ago. !!!

They did phone bids but spread them out and made the auction drag a bit..I think they should have grouped all phone bid items togh...The signs were very rough and brought more than retail IMO but there was a lot of cool stuff.

Mark, I voiced this to them for future petro auctions...I also told them they should have a viewing a week before so I could have taken photos and posted here. Because a lot of collectors on OG are from mid west etc. and wanna see if its worth the trip or not.
