I want to mount a gas pump globe as my porch light on my garage. I cannot find a wall sconce that has a big enough base/ring to fit a globe. Anybody know where to find such an animal? I don't want to spend too much either. Thanks.

Check with any one of the vendors listed on this site. I know that www.vicsplace.com has a couple different styles in their catalog. Good Luck

There is an aluminum sconce in Time Passages Online Catalog that makes a cool "porch light" on each side of your garage door. They also have another style not in the online catalog. Call 'em on the phone for that one.

Yellow 57 chevy , hey guess who . you buy a globe ring and mount it upside down , thats the way the old store front districts in the old towns was the first ones to use globes for showing addresses , I used the round flst metal plate with a pipe treated area in the center , brought the wires out there an put a smaller piece of lamp pipe screwed up init , then drill holes through the plat to match the holds in the globe ring , once it is secure then put your body up with the machine screws that come with it , then your lenses , it looks great , down the barrel of a 22 , ha ha . looks good . have fun ,

57Chev, Please tell me you are going to use the repo globes! I hope you wouldn't put org. ones out there. I found an Tokheim 34 in mint shape in a farmers barn with an org. Marathon Running man (old style) and the farmer doesn't want to sell it (as i allways here) and said he was going to put a coat of paint on it and put it out by his barn. I ask if he was going to put the globe out there to and he said yes. I tried to talk him into a repo globe and keep the org. one inside. I hope he never gets around to it and the pumps stays in that barn. He doesn't know it but this summer he will get tired of hearing the name Jarvis ans seeing me pull up. LOL

Looking for anything from Hoosier Pete, Platolene 500 and Red Bird.
