you're correct about the ink but wrong about it being fake

I dont think that is an ink stamp...that makers mark looks like most...All BFG and Goodyear Prop marks for example. I actually do not know of many fakes with "correct and good" makers marks. NONE of the india or germany signs I can recall do. I think the makers marks on the sign in question are stamped before the sign is fired, and I think the stamp is a light dusting of porcelain.

Sign is the real thing. Size and dimensions are right. Ink stamp , makers mark,is also correct.

Theres nothing wrong with the sign other than the condition is off. Makers mark is authentic.
