Yeah huge difference, wonder what a known "real" one measures. Someone on here must have a size on the old one. The body looks old to me but if its dated 1992 that's already over 20 years. This logo is much older than that. I used to know somebody that has an old one. Scot your knowledge of globes is very respected maybe you could comment on the age of this globe. How about Dan? you must have an opinion, Its not every day an original Grizzly globe comes on the market.

Globe looks correct. From the picture, I would go with real. The only way to tell for sure is to have it in hand and see what the back feels like. That globe was made in 15 inch and 13.5 with a slight difference in art work between the sizes

Thanks for the comeback. What should the back of the feel like? Smooth or rough ?

Thanks for the comeback. What should the back of the feel like? Smooth or rough ? rough or... rather 'chalky'... no significant shelving difference from white to the colors.

"Dubbs Cracked" gasoline processing came into existance in 1921 and survived until the early 1940s... Nothing on the globe jumps out at me, as being wrong... But, I am looking at an image, not holding the globe in my hands... Here is some background info from "The Honeywell Company" on "Dubbs Cracked" Gasoline.... http://www.uop.com/about-us/dubbs-cracked-gasoline/

Back of globe should have a "rough" feel. Not slick or greasy for lack of a better description.

Did someone determine if this was real or not. I see bids are at 4K now. I'd love to see the lens taken out and some good pictures taken to determine if it has legit lenses in it or not?
