What size globe would have went on a GB model # 8 1907 curb pump? Here is a picture of a milk glass one , would it be correct for this pump ? Or was it the more round ones that was used on them ? Thanks.

Globes were not used as early as 1907 but we have seen photos back to 1912 or so with globes. The earliest gas globes were shaped like your globe here though some were spherical, "Ball" shaped too. Most early gas globes just said, "Gasoline, Filtered Gasoline, etc." Some had small 4" bases and were smaller overall in size. Some were full size. So any early generic one piece globe would be correct for this pump. Scott B.

I appreciate your time and helping me Scott. I will pass this info on to the owner of the pump. Thank you. Travis.

I have restored two of these pumps with the lighted globe fixture. Both had a 6" fitter ring of cast iron. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

My original literature says - "The globe is 16" in diameter with a 7" fitter. It is made of the best hard Viralite glass. Each globe is artistically lettered "Gasoline" in bright red enamel baked on."

Ron, I stand corrected...and I'm sure you're right. I do recall putting longer screws in the cup to allow for a 6" globe base. Paul www.severngaspumps.com
