wondering value of a octagon shaped amer. visable, painted about 6 years ago, and has been out side since. has repo cylinder,gallon markers and a repo crown globe. asking 800$ for the pump?? just wanted to get some other opinions other than mine, because i am pump crazy and should not be let out alone to buy pumps, you never know what could happen maybe bankrupcy?? thanks cggas

Because the cylinder & ind. sticks are repo. Check the bonnet, it could also be a repo [fiberglass], original is heavy stamped steel.
Not too bad of a price considering the repo parts.

My opinion would be to buy it for that price and keep your eyes open for original parts if that is what you prefer. There are those that would be happy with it just the way it is.

Not a bad price considering the Benkin Visi-Bowl reproduction (patterned after the American octagonal pump) is $899 for the "kit" (unpainted,, but complete except for globe and decal). Buy it and display it outside.
