I recently purchased a Fry 17, 5 gallon baseless visible. My question is, Did these pumps come with the lamp arms, or were they only used on the ten gallon pumps. The pump globe cup that came with it has four holes in it, but I'd like to be sure before I restore it. Thank you for any help. Ron

Most of these had a cast iron globe cup which had a socket to light the globe only. Never seen an original with a light arm for the cylinder and I've run across several. I'd vote no to the cylinder light. Paul www.severngaspumps.com

Jack,
Based on your manuals, it looks like the globe cup should definitely have only two holes for the conduit pipes.
I was able to buy, a Fry 10 gallon, and the 5 gallon, last week from a gentleman north of Louisville Ky. I restored a Fry 73 but never a 17 or 117. More projects. Again, thanks for your input, it was very helpful. Ron

I have never seen a 17 with light arms like the 117. The 117 has light arms which may be equal distance from the conduit or off to one side... Dave
