What is the difference between the 56-Drum vs. the 56A-Drum?
Were they both used in the same time frame?

From what I have seen, Veeder Root would only assign a new # when a significant change was done in the design. I saw in Jack's lit that a 56 is limited range 49.9 and a 56-A is a full range 99.9, I would think that the letter change is for the difference in $. So there is probably a small difference somewhere like that on the drum model.

Great pictures! I like seeing the gallon ringer bell assembly installed on some of those computers.
