Morning everyone,

So recently I was surfing craigslist for signs as i usually do at 2:30 in the morning, and i stumbled across a 42" Texaco DSP Gasoline and Motor Oil sign in my price range. I unfortunately had to sell my first one to pay school bills. I noticed that the first sign i owned said at the bottom "Made by the Texas Company U.S.A". The one i found on craigslist says "Made by the Texas Company". Its missing the U.S.A. at the end. Does the fact that the USA is missing at the end give a hint as to the year it was made? or perhaps being genuine vs. reproduction? I would really like to learn about the nuances in these signs. I think they are stunning and want to own one again.

Any information would be greatly appreciated, I'm always eager to learn more about Texaco history.

Kevin, you might want to invest in one or both of the "Texaco Collectors Guides"?

The Guides could/would answer a good portion of questions most new Collectors have about Texaco...

Thanks everybody, I appreciate the input. I think i will buy that Texaco Collectors Guide you mentioned Bob. It seems like a good investment.
