Great old picture!! How did you know where it was? Do you have any more specifics?
I've looked high and low. Not much in Portersville Pa. I thought I could find that house next door. Simple gable, two windows and a chimney. But no luck.
Damn it had to be wild back then. Can you imagine rolling up on this place back in the day. Damn, where did I put that time machine again?

Steve, this town is about 15 miles from where I live, but I'm at that town quite often. A grocery store/gas station now sits where that station was. Funny thing is, there used to be two stations in town and now there's only one! Portersville is still a small country town. Sam

Sam, I am going to tag on to your post with another great local picture (I posted this in the Great Old Pic thread also).
This picture was taken at Sonneborn's refinery in Petrolia PA (a few miles from the town of Portersville which Sam posted above). The Petrolia plant, which is still there and going after 120 years, was one of the original Amalie production sites. This is a picture of an Amalie float which the employees built for the local Armistice parade.

Any idea as to the year of that float when photo was taken?

I think the picture is from the early 30s.
